3rd Workshop of the
European Wireworm Research Network

We are delighted to announce that the 3rd Workshop of the European Wireworm Research Network will be held on July 5th, 2026, at Hotel Lasaretti, in Oulu, Finland.




The Workshop will focus on novel developments in all aspects of crop protection against wireworm pests.

The program will include two invited keynote speakers :

Call for abstracts is closed !

Those who wish to present at the workshop are invited to submit an electronic abstract on the European Wireworm Research Network  (EWRN) website no later than 31st March 2026

 

Abstracts must be in English with a maximum of 250 words and should consist of :

  • Title: not exceeding 75 characters,

  • Name and address of all authors, the presenting author should be the person who submits the abstract,

  • Name of the session,

  • Overview of the objectives, methods used, results and conclusions.

 

Note that products mentioned in abstracts must be scientifically defined.

Instructions for
oral and poster presentations

Oral presentations

Each oral presentation is strictly limited to 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of discussion.

Oral presentations must be in English.

The organising committee (OC) will be responsible for organisation of the presentations and reviews of the abstracts.

Submit your PowerPoint presentation by 15th June 2026 for it to be considered for the dedicated session of the workshop.

Poster presentations

Posters presenters will be allocated 5 minutes at the end of the respective sessions to present and discuss their work.

Poster presentations should be in English.

The maximum of three slides: Title, authors' names and affiliation should be included on the first slide.

The poster should consist of objectives, methods, results and discussion. It should be clear, simple and self-explanatory: posters must be understandable in the absence of the author.

All figures and tables must have headings, labelled axes and legends. Lettering should be legible.

Submit your Poster by 15th June 2026 for it to be considered for the dedicated session of the workshop.
